Above shows a closeup of one of the doll skirts made from these antique cotton sugar bags. The sugar bags used in this project were collected and saved by my grandmother...who passed these along to me. During the depression she used to bleach the print off them, and then make her undergarments from the wonderful cotton, because she couldn't afford to buy manufactured panties, slips and bras.Below are pictures of the finished Raggedy Annie dolls with their sugar bag skirts.:)
