QUILT SHOW THIS WEEKEND

I just wanted to remind everyone, and to announce again for those who missed the first quilt show announcement....That artist Louise Chisholm's QUILT SHOW is this weekend,

MARKS OF HAPPINESS

Saturday and Sunday May 3rd and 4th from 1p.m-4p.m. Admission is FREE.
At Islands Consolidated School, Freeport , N.S
This Quilt Show features Quilts made by 24 children ranging in age from 5-12. The quilts are all the childrens designs, in which Louise helped the children make their vision a reality in cloth.
Some of the 24 children will be on hand to talk about their quilts, desserts and coffee/tea will be available for a free will offering.

ALSO, The current SALE at ARTSY CRAFTSY FOLKS is ending April 30th, so only today and tomorrow to grab up some deals including 10% off storewide!

Pin It What a beautiful sunny day, and to think yesterday we had flurries! It sure does look like spring outside, what a blessing!
I'm in the primitive creating mood today, and I am gonna work on some new patterns. So stay tuned for those in the upcoming days!
Listing some more goodies in the shop today, including the primitive flower ornies that I posted a pic of the other day, some wall hanging quilts will be up for grabs too, and maybe a few surprises listed.;) You just never know!
Did anyone get a chance to check out the *wall hanging envelope wedding postcard assemblage* in my shop?? These will be custom made to order, and certainly fit in with your primitive decor. Quilt Show ~ Featuring 'MY SON'

My good friend Louise Chisholm is preparing a quilt show............ now lets get some history behind this whole project.
For the last few years Louise has mentored local children, boys and girls and assisted them in making their own unique quilt from their own design they created. My son Jesse drew a farm design and his completed quilt is AWESOME.
Louise has helped 30 children complete their quilts, all of which are unique to the children. She did this all for FREE, including the fabrics and the only thing the children needed to bring was quilt batting.
My son enjoyed the whole process, although he stated his least favorite part was the sewing! lol

The quilt show featuring all of the childrens quilts is:
May 3rd & 4th from 1p.m-4p.m each day at
Islands Consolidated School, Freeport Nova Scotia
Tea and Cookies will be served by Islands Home and School Association.
